Fear of heights in one image
There’s a viewing platform at the top of Multnomah Falls that helpfully extends out over the edge of the cliff. Because I am stupid in this way, I inched up to the edge of the viewing platform, stretched my arm out as far as I could, and took a picture facing down the 165 meter tall upper falls.
And then my self preservation instinct kicked in and I BOLTED 50 meters up the path leading to this viewing platform, sat down, and shook in terror until Julie came ambling back from the observation platform. Brrr, there’s scary and then there’s a switch closing deep in my brain saying GET AWAY GET AWAY NOW!
(It’s a lot like my needlephobia, but, alas, there’s no such thing as an autoinjector for precipitous dropoffs.)
