It’s actually a sculpture! It’s a treetrunk that’s been carved into a pair of stringers at one end, set up as a trestle, and with used rail (from the old Portland Traction mainline that the new interurban is on) laid on top.

I’m glad this blog is back online! It was offline for just a short little while this week. First time commenter, short time reader. I have enjoyed the TriMet photos of all the different types of trains used over time. I’m more of a computer geek but geeking out about trains is kind of like a mental vacation from all that.

WHERE IS THIS! The color of the rails suggests this is unused track. I do love this picture and I really want to know what the rail is for and where it is. And I love you and yours.
