How low can you go?

Handicapped Mountainhack

I wanted to see how the mountainhack would ride with a longer stem, and the only longer stem (in 1"/26mm sizeway) I had was yet another Mutant. Mutants aren’t flippable (well, they are theoretically flippable, but they look much too phallic that way) so the cost of another 4cm extension is that the handlebars end up about 3cm lower. It’s /almost/ comfortable (the 74° STA means that I tend to slide off the front of the saddle when I’m not pushing myself along at high speed, and lt doesn’t help that when I’m stretched out I’m more front-heavy) and might be doable if I lay back the seattube on child-of-mountainhack to 73-72°, but for right now I kind of miss that 3cm.
