Waste not, want not
I swapped the tires on the Murray Baja Experience! not just for cosmetics (though the Murray Baja Experience does look nice with cream tires) but because the front (tubeless) tire on the born-again Trek went flat and was resisting every attempt to reinflate it.
So this evening I popped the old tire off the front wheel, stuffed this Confrerie onto the 700d rim, and tried to inflate it. With much better success than the older tire, which is now going to be cleaned up, folded, and set aside as an emergency spare tire for longer brevets. The newly reshod wheel is going to sit on its side for a day or so to let the sealant congeal around any little gaps between the tire and the rim, and then it’s going to be onto the born-again Trek and out to the races (note: no actual racing will be done on this bicycle.)
