Snow day
Precipitation on my porteur bag after riding back, in an indirect route that avoids the central east side, from my therapist in far east Portland. It snowed all the way home, but very little of the snow stuck and even that didn’t last when the clouds warmed up enough for the snow to turn into rain.

Yes, it’s moss. This is, after all, western Oregon and there’s a lot of rain happening here. There are some country roads up on Highland Butte that are two-three miles of slick nasty moss, and if you find a somewhat sheltered area that doesn’t have a lot of traffic it will soon grow a layer of moss.
A couple miles of moss being a regularly encountered thing puts your views on tires into a different perspective, I must say!
Have to remember Vancouver isn’t actually that damp, I should be thinking of the west side of Vancouver Island instead.

Is that actual moss on the street?
(Snow, well, snow isn’t very surprising from an emotional universe point of view. Moss on the street is!)
