Yar!
Captain Bogg & Salty played a benefit for the Llewellyn Foundation this afternoon, and I was the foundation’s photographer for the show. So while they played, I scampered around the theatre taking pictures of the ongoing show.
I took a few pictures with a short zoom and a flash, but the vast bulk of the pictures were taking with my 50mm f1.2 prime lens (manual focus, which meant that the vast bulk of those pictures didn’t have much in the whole focus department.)

I always enjoy seeing the work of a fellow photographer, especially when it includes photos of Capt Bogg and Salty and my son, Dave, who is the drummer for the group. It is unusual to see photos of the group where you can see Dave. He is usually not on a riser and hidden at the back of the stage. I plan to photograph and video the group’s performance later this month with the Oregon Children’s Theater if OCT will let me.
I am currently using a Nikon D80 with a short zoom and an SB-800 speedlight.
