Weblog cosmetic tweaks of the day
To celebrate being able to brute-force Annotations onto a machine running Apache, I went out and redid some of the error pages.
Yes, I have too much time on my hands.

Ah, wow, the CSS goes completely to hell on IE5. It’s impressively broken there. The lesson is: “don’t use IE5”

The fancy floating footer on those pages is because of some fancy <a href=“http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/”>CSS hackery I found online, at <a href=“http://scott.sauyet.name/CSS/Demo/FooterDemo1.html”>Scott Sauyet’s floating footer example page. I further hacked it up to make it a better fit for my standard page style, so it may not work on anything other than firefox 1.0.x and IE 6, but it’s a useful thing if you like seeing page footers at the bottom of the screen.
