Go By Train 2005! (pt 4: 9000 horses running north)
I woke up bright and early this morning (well, bright and early for me) and took the bus down to Union Station so I could see SP&S 700 and SP 4449 depart Union Station with the NRHS excursion to Auburn, WA. There were approximately 300 people standing around by the north end of Union Station, so I walked north to the Fremont bridge and stood on the north side of 15th (when I got up there, I was the only photographer, but several other photographers and spectators joined me before the train pulled out of Union Station and headed our way.

Is this what one would call "trainspotting?"
"Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a starter home. Choose dental insurance, leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose your future. But why would anyone want to do a thing like that?"--the tagline for the movie of the same name which I haven't seen.
