Progress (#2)
Three rack perimeters brazed up. I need to clean up the brazes and decide whether to attempt to reflow bronze into the gaps in the lugs, then after that I set the slats in place and braze them in to all three of ‘em.
(update: I need to rebraze both of the big racks – I flexed the perimeter to check for solidity and could feel the tube going clunk against the walls of the lug. Oh well. Practice and learn, and maybe consider using something that’s not stainless steel for the lugs on the next rack I build (which will happen after I sew up a couple of porteur bags for the Kogswell and the Murray Baja Experience!))
